4. Significant Figures
Explanation
Significant figures are the meaningful digits in a number. When rounding to a certain number of significant figures, you start counting from the first non-zero digit. Digits to the right of the last significant figure are replaced with zeros if they are before the decimal point, or removed if they are after it. The rules for rounding (rounding up if the next digit is 5 or more) still apply.
